The bird is built from dense, short marks that cover the ground behind it. The neck curves in one clean line, while the body has tighter strokes that follow the feathers. Light catches the head and upper back, and the darker marks around the eye and wing give those areas more weight. The edges stay soft in places, especially where the body meets the speckled surface.
